Spring Nail Designs with Lines

Simple DIY Nail Designs

Spring is just around the color, which means it is time to show off our nails and make sure they look just as good as our purse, shoes and other accessories! When I think of Spring, I think of pink. Nail designs for Spring also include other soft colors, such as light blue, lime, and pastels. Adding nail designs with lines is one way to make your look a little more interesting. This look is easy to pull off as long as you have a few nail art brushes in different colors.

The base color of this DIY nail design is a bold pink, but feel free to choose any color you desire. This simple nail art design would also look good in baby pink or baby blue. Besides some minor creative ability, this is a simple, fun nail design for spring.

After selecting your base color, paint all of your nails and let dry. Then, you have to designate 2 focal points. The focal point is simply the common dot that your lines are coming from. If your nails are shorter, you may only want to have one dot. Otherwise, create two small dots-one at the base of your nail and one towards the middle of your nail. Now, taking a white nail art brush, start at one of the dots and paint a “V” onto your nail. In other words, draw one white line that extends out to the left of each dot and draw one white line that extends to the right of each dot. Then, use black and draw a line in the middle of the white V. The black line should curve a little. It should not be straight. Do not over think it. Just draw a quick, black line. Finally, take your silver and draw a smaller V right on top of the white V. This will give your Spring nail design some flair.

If you wish, you have the option of adding small white dots on the ends of some of your lines. Pick 3 or 4 lines and add a dab of white to the ends. This will transform your nail designs with lines to a nail design that has a little more life.

Soft Angel Nails | Simple Nail Designs for Round nails

If you are looking for simple nail designs with a soft look, consider this design. This nail art can easily be created with white nail polish, a burgundy colored nail art brush and a nail file.

Nail designs for round nails

• If you have flat or pointy nails, take a nail file to make them round. You can start with the sides of your nail and work your way towards the middle. If you start in the middle, you may shave too much off and also give yourself a flat looking nail. You can also buy rounded nail tips and glue them on your natural nails.

• Next, draw a V-shape on your nail tip and fill in with white nail polish. Make sure that the point is right in the middle of your nail, otherwise it won’t be symmetrical. Simple nail designs are often symmetrical in nature.

• Taking a nail art brush, carefully outline your white tip with burgundy. Start on the left side of your nail and follow the edge of the white nail tip to the middle. Don’t stop there. Extend your burgundy just a little beyond the white center. Repeat on the opposite side. You do not want to start in the middle. If you notice in the picture, the line starts off thick and gets thinner as it reaches the middle. So, you want to start on the left side of your nail and work your way to the center, also. Essentially, you are drawing a burgundy X over your white nail tip. Do not worry if your X does not lie perfectly over your white nail tip. With this simple nail design, it doesn’t matter.

• This design is a naturally raw look. This means that using clear nail polish is optional. The advantage of using clear nail polish is that it protects your simple nail designs. However, if you are going for a natural look, consider leaving out this final step.

Here’s a tip! For nails that look really natural, do not use white nail polish. Nail tips are generally whiter than the rest of the nail anyway. Just use a file to round your nails. Then make two swift lines for the red X, and you are done!
